Inspiring Words From Other Writers

Sometimes just knowing others have been there, too, can make a bad writing day into a good one. I like to write down favorite quotes that I come across, just so I can look back at them on a day like today, when the words just don't come easily.

What are some of your favorite writing quotes? Feel free to share in the comments - I'm always on the lookout for new sayings to add to my repertoire.

“Inspiration usually comes during work, rather than before it.” — Madeleine L’Engle

“You can’t wait for inspiration. You have to go after it with a club.” — Jack London

“For a long time now I have tried simply to write the best I can. Sometimes I have good luck and write better than I can.” — Ernest Hemingway

“A professional writer is an amateur who didn’t quit.” – Richard Bach

I love visitors and I love comments! Please, leave one or many (visitors or comments, it's all good). Just remember to play nice with others. Also, don't spam. I'll have to dump you in the trash compactor if you do. And then the dianoga will eat you. Ask yourself: is it worth getting eaten?
