A to Z Challenge: J is for Journey
Every story is, at its heart, about a journey.
It may be that the galactic empire has sent its armada on a journey to conquer unknown worlds. Perhaps a young magician has set out on a long road to find his long-lost father. Or maybe the journey is all about what the character goes through or experiences or how he or she grows in their life.
It may be that the journey is entirely the author's as he spins his tale from one action to another.
A good author is the one that knows how to bring the reader with them for the entirety of the trip.

I love visitors and I love comments! Please, leave one or many (visitors or comments, it's all good). Just remember to play nice with others. Also, don't spam. I'll have to dump you in the trash compactor if you do. And then the dianoga will eat you. Ask yourself: is it worth getting eaten?

I love the journey! :) Your blog is very cool! I'm actually reading YA fantasy right now and really enjoying it. It's probably my least read genre which is funny because when I do read it I always like it.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nicole!
DeleteIt's hilarious when a "least favorite" genre always ends up grabbing us. I used to say the same about fantasy, being hardcore science fiction all the way, until I realized I just had to give in. ;)
I always love reading about the journey. It's fascinating how many different journeys there are and how different they are from each other.
ReplyDeleteIt really is. For all the "there is no more originality in the world," we seem to come up with enough new stories.
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
Under a journey it's allways exciting seeing the character grow and mature :)
ReplyDeleteIt definitely is. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI think that for me that is exactly the reason I write - for the journey and hopefully those that come along will not be disappointed.

Me, too. At least half of my joy comes from the mere creation, regardless if anyone else ever sees it.
DeleteThanks for having a look!
Love this picture! And love the thoughts....:-)

Love your blog! I know, so cliche' at this point, but I really do. Your pictures are amazing and I love the complexity found within the simplicity. Simply gorgeous. I'm glad to have found you through A-Z! :)
ReplyDeleteJOURNEY - that's what it's all about... and that's the reason for my blog name... the journey never ends...
