July was an awesome, if frantic month. As always, work took priority but I had fun with 4th of July barbeques, lots of reading, new diet habits, and some tabletop role-playing for extra relaxation (or no sleep - it could go either way).
And let's not forget my goals from last month for that oh-so-troublesome accountability:
Personal
- Workout 3 times a week (hit and miss so I can't really cross it off)- Take a walk once a day
- Write at least 1 letter
-
- Work on/accomplish an organization project for the house
- Look for (& maybe purchase) non-disposable alternative to paper towels
- Edit July family photos
- Choose somewhere fun for a family day trip
Business
- Submit 2-3 short stories for publication- Begin editing current NIP (novel in progress)
- Write a concise, meaningful “mission statement”
- Launch business website
- Brainstorm venues to find new clients
- Organize business folders for this year
-Complete all outstanding deadlines
So, obviously, I need to work on it a little, especially where my business is concerned. Keeping that in mind, here are this month's goals:
Personal
- Workout 3 times a week- Take a walk every other day
- Write at least 1 letter
-Catch up with 2 out-of-state friends
- Finish reading current non-fiction book
- Organize/clean out junk diguised as memorabilia that's just taking up space
- Take August family photos
- Plan a much-needed vacation for the end of the month
Business
- Submit 2-3 short stories for publication- Begin editing current NIP (novel in progress)
- Launch business website
- Brainstorm venues to find new clients
- Organize business folders for this year
- Decide what to do about social media outlets
I don't work so I guess I'm on perpetual vacation which is great and I'm not complaining. It'd be great to get out of town but staycations are great too. You still got a lot accomplished last month though!
ReplyDeleteI came off a perpetual vacation a year ago. Always wishing I could go back. ;)
DeleteI WANT TO GO TO THE BEACH!!! Hahahaha that's what I want for a vacation. Ah!
ReplyDeleteAhhhhh, the beach. Would it be terrible to admit that I'll be going there in about a month? Except I'm rejecting all swimsuits and will stay well covered until I lose all non-essential weight. I guess that makes us even? ;)
DeleteThat's a great fourth of July cake! Good luck with doing everything on your list! And yes, I am most definitely ready for school to start!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sherry! My family's made a cake like that since I was a child - I have no clue who invented it first.
DeleteI've already had two "vacations" this summer, and they were both exhausting. But then I came down with a cold, which has been forcing me to rest. :)
ReplyDeleteNice job on the goals you did accomplish. And good luck on these next ones!
I would say no fair but it sounds like "vacation" is a transient word. Glad you got some rest, though, even if it did come in the form of a cold.
DeleteThanks!
