October | Goals

I can't believe that summer is gone and autumn is here again already. I feel like I blinked and missed a couple of months.

September was a crazy month for me. Between work, new fiction endeavors, and lots of extra craftiness, I didn't get online very often. Apologies for missing a few chats with you all. I'm trying to implement a pre-posting plan for this month so that doesn't happen again (which, as you can see, is going so well already with me posting goals a week in, ha!).

That being said, my goals fared far better this month than they did the last:

Personal

- Workout 5 times a week
- Take a walk every other day - Write at least 2 letters
- Catch up with 2 out-of-state friends
- Finish reading Gardens of the Moon
- Organize paperwork and personal files
- Take September family photos

Business

- Submit 3 short stories for publication
- Begin editing current NIP (novel in progress)
- Launch business website
- Brainstorm venues to find new clients
- Organize business folders for this year
- Complete current long-term assignments
- Organize social media schedule
- Revamp new look for Visions of Other Worlds

I'm still not ready with that website which is beginning to frustrate me, as is the failure to work out. However, I hope to remedy that this month:

Personal

- Workout 5 times a week
- Write at least 2 letters
- Catch up with out-of-state family
- Finish reading Gardens of the Moon
- Take October family photos
- Plan a day trip to the mountains to see the autumn colors

Business

- Submit 3 short stories for publication
- Begin brainstorming NaNoWriMo novel
- Launch business website
- Add one new permanent client to job list
- Schedule social media so as not to fall behind
- Revamp new look for Visions of Other Worlds

What do you have planned for this autumn?

  1. Great goals! I really like the personal ones like taking a trip to the mountains, writing letters, and taking family photos.

Working out is a hard/frustrating goal for a lot of people. I think making it a habit and a part of your daily routine is helpful, like saying "everyday from 3:00-3:30 I will workout" or something like that. It helps me stay on track!

    1. Thanks, Meghan! I'm trying to slow things down a bit for my family so we can enjoy life a little more.

Whoo, boy, is it ever tough for me. Thanks for the advice! I'm sure all I need to do is establish the habit and half the battle will be won. :)

I love visitors and I love comments! Please, leave one or many (visitors or comments, it's all good). Just remember to play nice with others. Also, don't spam. I'll have to dump you in the trash compactor if you do. And then the dianoga will eat you. Ask yourself: is it worth getting eaten?
