NaNoWriMo Begins

Sorry I've been away, folks. Setting up a new freelance writing business is tough work with lots of hours that don't do much in the way of feeding me cookies. Not that I need any. Just that it doesn't give them to me.

But more on that later. Today, we turn to that paramount event that arrives every November and has since 1999: National Novel Writing Month.

30 days | 50,000 words | 1 novel

Can't get any simpler. And, once again, I have been pulled into that lovely, horrible process. What can I say? I think I'm addicted. It's not like I need to do it this year or even that it will be good for me. (This, by the way, is the first year I'm going to say that, uhmmm, no, it's not good to flit off into the nether regions to write something nonsensical when I have perfectly practical paying positions right here in front of me -say that five times fast - and yet I'm still going to do it. I think my brain took a vacation.) It's two hours until the start in my time zone and I still haven't decided which idea I'm going with.

Whatever. It will come.

Thousands of writers have begun the race to reveal novels of too-hastily written nonsense and absurd plots.

Will you?

  1. Hey Jessica!
Hope your writing is going well.
In leui of NaNoWriMo I am writing in my online journal like it's my day job. I feel that is what God has called me to do right now.
    Still praying for you!
    Blessings,
    Dee

I love visitors and I love comments! Please, leave one or many (visitors or comments, it's all good). Just remember to play nice with others. Also, don't spam. I'll have to dump you in the trash compactor if you do. And then the dianoga will eat you. Ask yourself: is it worth getting eaten?
